Moto-Lita mourns the passing of its founder, Simon Green
Weyhill, Hampshire UK – April 7th, 2025 – It is with profound sadness that Moto-Lita announces the passing of its founder, Simon Green. Simon passed away peacefully on April 5th at the age of 88 following a long illness.
Simon was a visionary leader who founded his first company manufacturing steering wheels in the late 1950s, guiding the business to what would become the globally renowned Moto-Lita brand. His unwavering commitment to hand-crafted British quality has always been the bedrock of the company's success.
“Simon’s leadership and vision were instrumental in shaping Moto-Lita into what it is today. Indeed, the popularity of his original designs remains as strong today as it was back in the 60s and 70s,” said Dave Hitchins, Moto-Lita’s Managing Director.
Simon Green will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues and the entire classic car and motorsports communities. His legacy of innovation, integrity and good humour continues to inspire.
